Eligibility: A foreign national who intends to visit China as a tourist.

Required application materials:

1. One completed Visa /Stay Permit /Residence Permit Application Form;

2. One color identification photo (taken within 6 months, with a white background, in 2 inches, and bareheaded);

3. The original and photocopies of the applicant’s valid passport, visa and other related documents;

4. A valid registration form for temporary residence of foreigners;

5. A letter of application for visa extension from the applicant, along with his or her travel planning and scheduling;

6. Any additional application materials requested by visa authorities based on specific circumstances;

7. Certification, including marriage certificate, birth certificate, and certification of kinship or name and other personal information change, issued by foreign competent authorities or public notary institutions should be authenticated by the Embassy or Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in the applicant’s home country. Additionally, any foreign language supporting documents should be translated into Chinese by a qualified translation agency.
